Does anyone have a source for door window channel glass setting rubber. The one that was removed had an extended lip for water diverting. Most shops locally are using urethane and I did not see any available from the usual suppliers. I am curious what other owners are doing for replacement.

Steve,
Are you referring to glass setting tape? It sits in the steel channel and the glass window pushes down into the channel. There are three different thicknesses of it and last time I purchased it was from Restoration Specialties in Windber PA a year or two ago.

That is the part however the one removed was a molded rubber and the top lip extended about 3/4" at a 90 degree . I replaced the window about 20 years ago and the glass shop that I used (long gone) supplied the part. National Chevy supplies a similar product but only with the channel which I don't need.

I did try Steel but no go. Found it at the FS but they need to order with a two week lead time. I have plenty of time so will order from them. A little on the $$$ side-$55.19 for two plus shipping equals $69.40 . OUCH!!!

Well I don't mind the amount but I don't need all that I have to buy to get the one part. It seems that today the customer only gets a take it or leave it option and the vendors don't need to try and find a better solution. Can you imagine going to McDonalds for french fries and being told you have to get the complete meal.

Steve, take a look at Restoration World in Dayton Ohio. On their website, type in EM301246 in the lookup by part number section. You should see Door Glass Setting Channels for 1950-54 Hardtop for $28.00. I think that is what you are asking about. https://www.chevroletrestorationworld.com/

Yes that looks like what I need though the photos are not great. I'll give them a call to verify they are in stock and then see if I can cancel my order with the FS. Thanks Hawkeye!!

Received the items today and they look good. The part purchased also included rubber channel for the rest of the door window however I am going to use urethane for that. The only negative was the shipping ($19.01) as they used UPS and it was double what the USPS would have been.

I am still working on the front windows and now need the division bar lower glass run channels. The rust mites got at them and though they are not seen it would be nice to replace them.

You should put an ad in the Parts Wanted forum.

Hawkeye I think COF has them. I appreciate the reply. After I figured out how to use their website I found #4074354 which list as fitting most models for the lower division bar. I'll call tomorrow to verify the measurements. I purchased a door weatherstrip kit from NCA and it had a new upper division bar channel but for the lower they supplied a liner only.
