The ID tag from my generator is missing on my 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. I plan to purchase a reproduction ID tag and will stamp it myself with the date code appearing to be proper for my truck build. The truck was built April 1948 in Oakland. Can someone shed light on how to properly sequence the date code?

The date the generator was made and the truck assembled could b from one to three months aprt.
