From personal experience I first tried bearing grease but it's too thin and would squeeze out through the threads when I'd turn the cup. I switched to chassis grease and problem solved.

Thank You. I was thinking of going with #2 chassis grease also. Next time I'm at Autozone I'll see if they have any somewhat harder #3 grease too.
